Hi Everyone! Thank you for visiting my web page!! My name is Isabella (my friends sometimes call me Bella or Izzy) and I am 12 years old and in 7th grade. There were a few things that happened at the same time that gave me the idea for to my business, "Bella's Nutty Butter".
About 2 1/2 years ago my mom was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, she stays home most of the time and that has been a chance for us to spend more time together. Even though mom has been sick, we still have been able to do fun things in the house like cooking, watching movies, games, ping-pong, all kinds of stuff. Last year I started getting some pimples... It made me feel upset and did not want to leave the house!!!! My doctor told me it was normal for me at my age, but also recommended I reduce dairy products & oily foods. I started researching "healthy eating" on the internet and learned to stay away from; fast food, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives.
During the Holidays, my mom's friend "Mo", gave her some homemade peanut butter... We loved it. So we started making our own homemade peanut butter... One day, I asked if we could add cinnamon, honey, and bananas-we went CRAZY with the Cuisinart and it turned out AWESOME!! We started making really fun Nut Butters together and then it became our "girl time." After a while, we started giving our Nut Butters to our friends and family. I really felt good when I saw people enjoy the different butters that we made, especially when they started asking for more! The coolest part of this hobby is that we are able to donate some money to charity as we go.. There some special causes that need money...We are trying to figure out how to best set this up...
This website will keep you updated on our business, and when I will be able to be at the Campbell and Los Gatos Farmer's markets, and what products will be offered! It would really help me if you could let me know what Butters you like the most! Thank you to everyone who has supported me on my journey!
